Society nowadays is so focused on doing things the easy way. It seems like everyone just wants everything handed down to them. The thing is, what is easy isn't always what is right, and sometimes you need to do things the hard way because it is the right way. The easy way out isn't always the best, safest, or even morally sound depending on the situation. You shouldn't just take the easy way out because it is just that—easy. Always weigh your options. Sometimes the path that seems the hardest is the most worthwhile in the end.
Don't get caught up in what everyone else is doing. Ask yourself if what they're doing is right. The T.H.I.N.K. method can be applied here! Is it true? Is it helpful? Is it inspiring? Is it necessary? Is it kind? If you answered "no" to one or more of these questions, maybe you shouldn't be doing what everyone else is doing.
Life is all about carving your own path. That is why we all think, talk, and act differently from each other. Life would be very boring if we all followed the same road! Life is an eternal crossing of paths. Some will walk with you for awhile and then go off on their own trail. Sometimes, you get a mob of people going down one road and you're like "What the hell is wrong with them? They're going to walk off of that cliff!" You can try to reason with them and tell them about the cliff up ahead, but a lot of times, they won't believe you. They would rather do their own thing. You may get one or two people to leave the mob and follow you to safety, but you can't help everyone.
You don't have to follow what everyone else is doing, because sometimes, they could lead you to a cliff at the end of the road. The goal of your life is to do the things that are right and good for you and for others. Take caution and make sure you don't get caught up in the immorality of society. Question everything, and do the hard things if you have to, and always do what is right.
