Life moves so quickly! Too quickly sometimes. Just this past Thursday marked nine years since my grandpa has been gone. It really makes you realize that you don't have long before you're out of time. We need to learn to slow down in life, to take in the sights, to enjoy the time that we spend with our family and friends before it's gone.
When my family took a trip to Hawai'i, we were looking at woodwork done of sea turtles. The guys selling them told us the meaning of the sea turtle; long life, wisdom, and to just slow down. We should all strive to be more like the sea turtle. Slow down in life, and take the time to enjoy and immerse yourself in the world's surroundings while you have the chance.
Nowadays, so much emphasis is put on hustling and hustling, and we never really take the time to enjoy ourselves or our lives. The modern world is heavily focused on having everything now and at the tip of your fingers that it's easy to lose sight of what's truly important. The best advice I can give to people is to get off of your phone. I understand that things come up sometimes and you have to answer people, but all of the mindless scrolling through social media is completely unnecessary.
You can set aside time for social media. Schedule time, or set a limit for yourself. Most smartphones have limits in the settings that you can go in and set for apps like TikTok, Facebook or Instagram. You can be away from other people's lives for a few minutes while you're eating, or spending time with family and friends. Immerse yourself in your life! Don't miss out because you were busy watching someone else's.
The bottom line is, life will go on, whether or not you're taking the time to enjoy it, which means that you should be living life to the fullest and embracing all of the goodness that life has to offer. After all, there is so much joy in life that it would be a shame to let it pass us by. So, just remember to stop to enjoy the view every once in awhile; life has so many incredible things to show you.

That is a bunch of truth spoken and I love it.
