Gratitude is the Start to Creating the Life of Your Dreams

Living the life of your dreams might seem like a far-fetched idea, but in reality, your dream life is much closer than you think! It all starts by making small, positive changes in your everyday life that will bring you closer and closer to the kind of life that you want to live. You might be reading this and thinking that one small change won't do you any good, or that you'll always be stuck in this rut you’re in, but I promise you that one small step a day will bring you closer to where you want to be.

I often talk about gratitude, and how a positive life begins and ends with a thankful heart. Gratitude is just one small change that you can make today! An attitude of gratitude is actually scientifically proven to boost your mood, so why not give it a go? I challenge you right now to think of one thing that you are thankful for. It can be anything from the sunrise to someone you love to that random dog you saw while out. Don't read the rest of this post until you have one thing in your mind to be grateful for.

Got something in mind? Good! You can use this opportunity to make this your first step; think of one thing that you are thankful for every morning. Having an attitude of gratitude is actually scientifically proven to boost your mood, so why not give it a go? I think it's especially good to set aside time in the morning to name something that you're grateful for. Making gratitude one of the first things you think of in the morning can help to put you in a good mood, and also set a positive tone for the rest of your day.

I just want to remind you that the start of your day is not always necessarily how the rest of your day is going to turn out. You could have a great morning and then a bad day, or a bad morning and a great day, but I do believe that starting off your morning with a small, positive thought can truly help to boost your mood and keep you thinking positively. A good mood is the start to a great day, regardless of anything that the world will throw at you. An attitude of gratitude will keep you positive!

Crafting a life that you can’t wait to wake up to is easier said than done. It takes time and patience with yourself in order to achieve the kind of life that you want to live. You won’t see results overnight, and you’re going to have to motivate yourself to get things done that will bring you closer to your dream life. By making small, positive changes in your life, you can get there! When you can wake up, look around and be thankful for everything that you have in your life, that is a life worth waking up to.

Let Go of the Past and Embrace Change

Leave the past in the past! You won’t progress in life if you’re dragging old habits around with you. If you keep trying the same thing over and over again, and you’re not getting the results that you want, maybe it’s time to try something new. T hink of it like diet and exercise. Some diets won't work for you, just like some exercises work better for other people than they will for you. It’s all about figuring out what works, rather than doing the same old thing and becoming disappointed every time you don’t get results. In order to move forward in your life, you need to learn to embrace change. Sometimes, you can get so caught up in sticking with the things that you know, that you wind up afraid of venturing out of your comfort zone. It’s easy to stay with what’s familiar, but you have to learn to let go of familiarity and let yourself embrace the new and the unknown. You need to allow yourself to be open to new ideas and new ways of thinking. You're stuck where you are righ...

Don't Allow Your Fears To Control Your Life

Everyone has something that they are afraid of—you, me, everyone! It’s not shameful to have these fears, but you shouldn’t allow them to take precedent over your life. Things only have power over you because you give them that power. If your fears are starting to hold you back from living the life that you want, then you need to rethink how you view those fears and learn to break past them in order to move on. Your limitations are only limitations because you allow them to be. You are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for, so don’t allow yourself to be brought down by your fears just because you’re worried that you won’t be able to overcome them. You can do anything that you put your mind to, and if that involves overcoming your fears, then you will be able to do just that! When you choose to avoid your fears and not face them, you open yourself up to even more fear, as well as limitations on your abilities. Facing your fears allows you to break free of the restrict...

Fire It Up Friday

Happy Friday! Y'all know what time it is! It's that time of the week where we list the things that we look forward to; it's Fire It Up Friday! There is so much in life to look forward to, so let's help each other out by naming the things that we're excited for. I'll start us off by saying that I'm excited to go to the beach tomorrow. Beach time is always a good time. I'm gonna have ice cream for lunch and hopefully hit plenty of waves! Life gives us so much to hope for; it's hard to see the bad when you're so focused on all of the good things headed your way. There's always something to be excited for, even if it's not your next concert or your next beach day; it can be as simple as waking up tomorrow morning to spend a relaxing day at home or being excited for your next cup of coffee. If it makes you happy, it's worth being excited for. Let everyone know what you're looking forward to in the comments. Have a great weekend, everyo...
