Don't Lose Yourself In Other People

Hey, you! Stop worrying about what goes on in other people’s lives. Since the invention of social media, it has been especially easy to keep up with aspects of everyone’s lives. Before that, we really didn’t know what our co-workers were eating for dinner or doing on their weekends unless we talked about it face-to-face. Shift the focus back to yourself and your life, and stop worrying about what so-and-so has going on in theirs.

Another important tidbit of information to keep in mind is that it’s not healthy to envy other people. You should be content with the things that you have and the life that you have, rather than wanting a life that someone else is living. Don’t lose yourself in the lives of other people. Live your life free of the worry of what other people might think of you. You have nothing to prove to anyone, so don’t let yourself get lost in needing others’ opinions.

Living life to the fullest means living your life to the fullest, not someone else’s. Being yourself can go a long way in life; you’ll meet people that you actually want to hang out with and who accept you for who you are, not for someone that you’re pretending to be.

When you see someone else living the life that you want, build yourself up to that level. Don’t envy, but, if possible, ask how they did it. Look up ways that you can change your life so that you can live the kind of life that you want without completely changing who you are at your core. Be yourself while simultaneously changing your life for the better.

You can continue to be the weird, strange person that you are while acknowledging where you fall short. From there, you can work to improve yourself and aim to live the life that you want to live. Free yourself from the opinions and lives of other people and start living your own life. Free your mind and live your life.

Let Go of the Past and Embrace Change

Leave the past in the past! You won’t progress in life if you’re dragging old habits around with you. If you keep trying the same thing over and over again, and you’re not getting the results that you want, maybe it’s time to try something new. T hink of it like diet and exercise. Some diets won't work for you, just like some exercises work better for other people than they will for you. It’s all about figuring out what works, rather than doing the same old thing and becoming disappointed every time you don’t get results. In order to move forward in your life, you need to learn to embrace change. Sometimes, you can get so caught up in sticking with the things that you know, that you wind up afraid of venturing out of your comfort zone. It’s easy to stay with what’s familiar, but you have to learn to let go of familiarity and let yourself embrace the new and the unknown. You need to allow yourself to be open to new ideas and new ways of thinking. You're stuck where you are righ...

Don't Allow Your Fears To Control Your Life

Everyone has something that they are afraid of—you, me, everyone! It’s not shameful to have these fears, but you shouldn’t allow them to take precedent over your life. Things only have power over you because you give them that power. If your fears are starting to hold you back from living the life that you want, then you need to rethink how you view those fears and learn to break past them in order to move on. Your limitations are only limitations because you allow them to be. You are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for, so don’t allow yourself to be brought down by your fears just because you’re worried that you won’t be able to overcome them. You can do anything that you put your mind to, and if that involves overcoming your fears, then you will be able to do just that! When you choose to avoid your fears and not face them, you open yourself up to even more fear, as well as limitations on your abilities. Facing your fears allows you to break free of the restrict...

Fire It Up Friday

Happy Friday! Y'all know what time it is! It's that time of the week where we list the things that we look forward to; it's Fire It Up Friday! There is so much in life to look forward to, so let's help each other out by naming the things that we're excited for. I'll start us off by saying that I'm excited to go to the beach tomorrow. Beach time is always a good time. I'm gonna have ice cream for lunch and hopefully hit plenty of waves! Life gives us so much to hope for; it's hard to see the bad when you're so focused on all of the good things headed your way. There's always something to be excited for, even if it's not your next concert or your next beach day; it can be as simple as waking up tomorrow morning to spend a relaxing day at home or being excited for your next cup of coffee. If it makes you happy, it's worth being excited for. Let everyone know what you're looking forward to in the comments. Have a great weekend, everyo...
