Growth Comes From Uncomfortable Situations; Step Outside of Your Comfort Zone

Whether we want to or not, we all need to step outside of our comfort zones from time to time. Life will always throw something in your way that makes you have to leave your comfort zone, but the truth is, you should be actively seeking out challenging situations. What would life be without the occasional challenge? You can only grow when you are able to confront uncomfortable or frightening situations and leave your comfort zone behind. The truth is that great things never come from comfort zones; they come from outside them. Take a look at the great innovators of history! If someone had not stepped outside of their comfort zone and tried something different, would we still have the modern conveniences we do today? The same can be said for you. Are you prepared to give up your cozy surroundings in favor of exciting new experiences? Or would you prefer to cling to the comforts of your life?

It can mean a lot to step outside of your comfort zone—exploring new locations, getting to know new people, accepting a challenge, or even straying from your regular schedule in favor of something interesting. You can always find something new to discover in the world! All you have to do is step out of your comfort zone and go and pursue it! It will be uncomfortable at first to step outside of your comfort zone, but the more you do so, the more space your comfort zone takes up, allowing more amazing new experiences to enter your own little bubble of existence.

There is no harm in trying something new; you never know what you might learn or gain! The worst thing that can happen is that you determine that what you tried just isn’t for you, and that’s okay too! You’re not going to like everything you try anyway. In actuality, life will go on whether or not you ever step outside of your comfort zone, so you should always be trying new things! You will be shocked at how much you can learn if you take the time to venture outside of your comfort zone and attempt something new each day. Perhaps what you discover will enable you to develop into a more positive version of yourself. It is possible that what you are afraid of is exactly what you need to advance in life. You should aim to expand your comfort zone by attempting new and occasionally frightening experiences rather than forcing yourself to simply leave it behind. Take action today and try something new; you will be surprised at the things you can learn from experiences you have never had!

Let Go of the Past and Embrace Change

Leave the past in the past! You won’t progress in life if you’re dragging old habits around with you. If you keep trying the same thing over and over again, and you’re not getting the results that you want, maybe it’s time to try something new. T hink of it like diet and exercise. Some diets won't work for you, just like some exercises work better for other people than they will for you. It’s all about figuring out what works, rather than doing the same old thing and becoming disappointed every time you don’t get results. In order to move forward in your life, you need to learn to embrace change. Sometimes, you can get so caught up in sticking with the things that you know, that you wind up afraid of venturing out of your comfort zone. It’s easy to stay with what’s familiar, but you have to learn to let go of familiarity and let yourself embrace the new and the unknown. You need to allow yourself to be open to new ideas and new ways of thinking. You're stuck where you are righ...

Don't Allow Your Fears To Control Your Life

Everyone has something that they are afraid of—you, me, everyone! It’s not shameful to have these fears, but you shouldn’t allow them to take precedent over your life. Things only have power over you because you give them that power. If your fears are starting to hold you back from living the life that you want, then you need to rethink how you view those fears and learn to break past them in order to move on. Your limitations are only limitations because you allow them to be. You are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for, so don’t allow yourself to be brought down by your fears just because you’re worried that you won’t be able to overcome them. You can do anything that you put your mind to, and if that involves overcoming your fears, then you will be able to do just that! When you choose to avoid your fears and not face them, you open yourself up to even more fear, as well as limitations on your abilities. Facing your fears allows you to break free of the restrict...

Happy Friday! Y'all know what time it is! It's that time of the week where we list the things that we look forward to; it's Fire It Up Friday! There is so much in life to look forward to, so let's help each other out by naming the things that we're excited for. I'll start us off by saying that I'm excited to go to the beach tomorrow. Beach time is always a good time. I'm gonna have ice cream for lunch and hopefully hit plenty of waves! Life gives us so much to hope for; it's hard to see the bad when you're so focused on all of the good things headed your way. There's always something to be excited for, even if it's not your next concert or your next beach day; it can be as simple as waking up tomorrow morning to spend a relaxing day at home or being excited for your next cup of coffee.
