As long as you continue to think about your goals, they will not go away. Even though 10,000 steps a day may seem excessive at first, even 5,000 steps is still preferable to 1,000. Work your way up to the larger objectives by starting small; make smaller goals for yourself so that you can accomplish the larger ones. Success won’t happen overnight, and like I said before, you shouldn’t try to overhaul your entire life overnight. Working your way up is necessary! If all you know about driving is the gas and brake pedals, you are not going to be ready for the road; you have a long way to go before you can legally drive! The same applies to your goals. Instead of worrying about a single, large goal, break it down into smaller ones if you feel like you are having trouble achieving them.
You can easily see that progress is being made towards your larger goal when you set smaller targets for yourself and have a system in place to track them. You may frequently feel as though no progress is being made, and this is the source of your stress, but by establishing and monitoring smaller objectives for yourself, you can counteract that. Sure, reaching 5% of your goal might not seem like much compared to the other 95% of your goal, but making one tiny goal equal to that 5% and achieving it will make it feel much more like you are actually accomplishing something! It’ll keep you motivated to keep going and to keep pushing forward toward the big goal.
If something is consuming all of your thoughts, you should not give up on it, even if it takes longer than you had anticipated to achieve your goals. You should not ignore the goals you have set for yourself; they were placed there for a reason. You can and will accomplish the objectives you set for yourself, no matter how challenging they may seem, as long as you maintain your drive and commitment to seeing them through to the end. Believe in yourself, and you can achieve any goal that you set your mind to! Now get out there and get things done!
