The Past is but Stepping Stones to Your Future

Each day is a brand new opportunity to move closer to your goals and further away from the things that are holding you back. Every sunrise should be a reminder that yesterday is gone and there is only today. Each and every day, you should let go of the mistakes of yesterday and embrace a brand new, fresh start!

Letting go of the past can be difficult, however. Our past regrets often have a way to come back and haunt us in the present, but that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying your life as it is right now. There are still plenty of other things for you to do, and mistakes are hardly avoided in life. Everyone is going to make them, but what matters is that you don’t let your past ruin your present; let it go.

Dwelling on the past won’t change what has happened; it will only make you fall deeper and deeper into the hole of regret. Regret doesn’t accomplish anything, and it won’t allow you to change what has already been done. The best thing that you can do is to simply accept the past, accept the mistakes that you’ve made, and then move on. Choose to be better.

Remember that your past mistakes do not define who you are now. Your past is there to be learned from, not something to feel guilty for. There is a reason that history books exist: for us to learn from the past and not repeat the same mistakes.

Growth comes through learning from the past and correcting your mistakes to better yourself for the next time that you encounter a similar situation. Don't allow yourself the feeling of regret; instead, be proud of yourself for knowing better now. Grow through your mistakes, and life will be easy as pie!

Let Go of the Past and Embrace Change

Leave the past in the past! You won’t progress in life if you’re dragging old habits around with you. If you keep trying the same thing over and over again, and you’re not getting the results that you want, maybe it’s time to try something new. T hink of it like diet and exercise. Some diets won't work for you, just like some exercises work better for other people than they will for you. It’s all about figuring out what works, rather than doing the same old thing and becoming disappointed every time you don’t get results. In order to move forward in your life, you need to learn to embrace change. Sometimes, you can get so caught up in sticking with the things that you know, that you wind up afraid of venturing out of your comfort zone. It’s easy to stay with what’s familiar, but you have to learn to let go of familiarity and let yourself embrace the new and the unknown. You need to allow yourself to be open to new ideas and new ways of thinking. You're stuck where you are righ...

Don't Allow Your Fears To Control Your Life

Everyone has something that they are afraid of—you, me, everyone! It’s not shameful to have these fears, but you shouldn’t allow them to take precedent over your life. Things only have power over you because you give them that power. If your fears are starting to hold you back from living the life that you want, then you need to rethink how you view those fears and learn to break past them in order to move on. Your limitations are only limitations because you allow them to be. You are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for, so don’t allow yourself to be brought down by your fears just because you’re worried that you won’t be able to overcome them. You can do anything that you put your mind to, and if that involves overcoming your fears, then you will be able to do just that! When you choose to avoid your fears and not face them, you open yourself up to even more fear, as well as limitations on your abilities. Facing your fears allows you to break free of the restrict...

Fire It Up Friday

Happy Friday! Y'all know what time it is! It's that time of the week where we list the things that we look forward to; it's Fire It Up Friday! There is so much in life to look forward to, so let's help each other out by naming the things that we're excited for. I'll start us off by saying that I'm excited to go to the beach tomorrow. Beach time is always a good time. I'm gonna have ice cream for lunch and hopefully hit plenty of waves! Life gives us so much to hope for; it's hard to see the bad when you're so focused on all of the good things headed your way. There's always something to be excited for, even if it's not your next concert or your next beach day; it can be as simple as waking up tomorrow morning to spend a relaxing day at home or being excited for your next cup of coffee. If it makes you happy, it's worth being excited for. Let everyone know what you're looking forward to in the comments. Have a great weekend, everyo...
