Don't Excuse Opportunity When It Knocks On Your Door

We are all guilty of making excuses in our lives. Whether it’s an excuse not to work out or an excuse not to go somewhere, excuses are extremely prevalent and easy to make. Opportunity, however, seldom comes, so we should take every opportunity that we can in order to grow in our lives and to see and do things that we might not otherwise do.

Excuses are easy to make when you don’t have the motivation or the desire to continue on with something. The thing that you need to remember is that you started working on it for a reason, so tap into your “”why” and keep going! Never give up on the things that you want to achieve because of a simple excuse.

Opportunity will knock on your door someday, but what matters is your response to it. Do something different for a change! Go to that restaurant you’ve never been to, order something different than your “usual,” talk to people that you never would have otherwise, or take a different route home from work. Opportunities are all around us; we just need to take them.

Make progress, not excuses. Don’t allow yourself to give in to excuses. Combat them instead! Remember why you started doing the things that you’re doing, and keep going until you’re satisfied. Excuses won’t allow you to progress any further than you’ve already come, and if you’re not content with where you are, then you have more work to do!

Stop making excuses for the things that you should or want to be doing, and instead, get back to working towards your goals. The opportunity won’t be there forever, so you need to take the time when you can to do the things that you need to do, regardless of whatever excuses you want to tell yourself. Keep going! You’ve got this!

Let Go of the Past and Embrace Change

Leave the past in the past! You won’t progress in life if you’re dragging old habits around with you. If you keep trying the same thing over and over again, and you’re not getting the results that you want, maybe it’s time to try something new. T hink of it like diet and exercise. Some diets won't work for you, just like some exercises work better for other people than they will for you. It’s all about figuring out what works, rather than doing the same old thing and becoming disappointed every time you don’t get results. In order to move forward in your life, you need to learn to embrace change. Sometimes, you can get so caught up in sticking with the things that you know, that you wind up afraid of venturing out of your comfort zone. It’s easy to stay with what’s familiar, but you have to learn to let go of familiarity and let yourself embrace the new and the unknown. You need to allow yourself to be open to new ideas and new ways of thinking. You're stuck where you are righ...

Don't Allow Your Fears To Control Your Life

Everyone has something that they are afraid of—you, me, everyone! It’s not shameful to have these fears, but you shouldn’t allow them to take precedent over your life. Things only have power over you because you give them that power. If your fears are starting to hold you back from living the life that you want, then you need to rethink how you view those fears and learn to break past them in order to move on. Your limitations are only limitations because you allow them to be. You are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for, so don’t allow yourself to be brought down by your fears just because you’re worried that you won’t be able to overcome them. You can do anything that you put your mind to, and if that involves overcoming your fears, then you will be able to do just that! When you choose to avoid your fears and not face them, you open yourself up to even more fear, as well as limitations on your abilities. Facing your fears allows you to break free of the restrict...

Happy Friday! Y'all know what time it is! It's that time of the week where we list the things that we look forward to; it's Fire It Up Friday! There is so much in life to look forward to, so let's help each other out by naming the things that we're excited for. I'll start us off by saying that I'm excited to go to the beach tomorrow.
