Make Self-Care a Task on Your To-Do List

It can sometimes feel like your to-do list is ever-growing and that you’ll never catch up on all of the things that you mean to do, but you will get there! You might not get there in a day, but sometimes things take time, and you shouldn’t beat yourself up for not checking off everything on your list.

Even if you only check off a few things, that’s more than enough. You have to remember that you’re doing the best that you can with what you have. Some days, you won’t be able to get everything done, and that’s okay! What matters is that you do what you can.

You only have so many hours in the day, and it’s okay if you miss a task or two because you also need to remember to take time to rest and recharge as well. Resting is just as important as the tasks that you have on your list, so you shouldn’t throw your down time under the bus.

Remember to take care of yourself in the middle of all of your tasks and to-do lists; you really won’t get anything done if you’re running around on an empty tank all day. If you’re not well rested or taken care of, your tasks can wait because you might not get them done to the best of your ability if you’re in a state of unrest.

Self-care is just as important as any task on your list, and that should always take priority over everything else. You can’t pour from an empty cup, so make sure that you’re taking care of yourself and your needs before tending to the things on your lists. Make self-care one of those tasks, but put it at the top of the list because your needs and health come before any household chores you might have.

Let Go of the Past and Embrace Change

Leave the past in the past! You won’t progress in life if you’re dragging old habits around with you. If you keep trying the same thing over and over again, and you’re not getting the results that you want, maybe it’s time to try something new. T hink of it like diet and exercise. Some diets won't work for you, just like some exercises work better for other people than they will for you. It’s all about figuring out what works, rather than doing the same old thing and becoming disappointed every time you don’t get results. In order to move forward in your life, you need to learn to embrace change. Sometimes, you can get so caught up in sticking with the things that you know, that you wind up afraid of venturing out of your comfort zone. It’s easy to stay with what’s familiar, but you have to learn to let go of familiarity and let yourself embrace the new and the unknown. You need to allow yourself to be open to new ideas and new ways of thinking. You're stuck where you are righ...

Don't Allow Your Fears To Control Your Life

Everyone has something that they are afraid of—you, me, everyone! It’s not shameful to have these fears, but you shouldn’t allow them to take precedent over your life. Things only have power over you because you give them that power. If your fears are starting to hold you back from living the life that you want, then you need to rethink how you view those fears and learn to break past them in order to move on. Your limitations are only limitations because you allow them to be. You are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for, so don’t allow yourself to be brought down by your fears just because you’re worried that you won’t be able to overcome them. You can do anything that you put your mind to, and if that involves overcoming your fears, then you will be able to do just that! When you choose to avoid your fears and not face them, you open yourself up to even more fear, as well as limitations on your abilities. Facing your fears allows you to break free of the restrict...

There is so much in life to look forward to, so let's help each other out by naming the things that we're excited for. I'll start us off by saying that I'm excited to go to the beach tomorrow.
