Living life is like surfing on the ocean; the waves come and the waves go, but the ocean remains. You’re going to experience many different waves in life, both good and bad. You’re going to have wonderful high waves, but you’re also going to experience lower waves that aren’t as easy or as fun to surf. You won’t have a perfect day at the beach every day, but that’s life!
Like I said in a previous post, life is full of ups and downs; you just need to learn to ride the waves as they come rather than trying to fight the ocean herself. You won’t always have rough seas; the sun will come back out and the seas will calm after the storm has passed. Calm seas never made a skilled sailor, after all; you must learn to overcome.
You need to remember, too, that even if you’re surfing the high waves, anything could go wrong. Don’t allow yourself to dwell on the “what ifs,” but instead keep them in the back of your mind as a precaution for the things that could go wrong and prepare yourself for them. You shouldn’t worry yourself into a frenzy, but you should keep them in mind regardless of what could happen.
You should always hope for high waves and a great surf, so try not to dwell on the negatives that happen out there. Always keep yourself prepared for what could happen, but keep a positive mindset and don’t stress yourself out with worry. Your mindset about your situations will usually direct you in the direction that you’re going to be moving in, so always strive to keep a positive mindset.
Life is the ocean, and situations are its waves. You can prepare yourself the best that you can by having the best board or the best boat, but there will always be something that comes your way and knocks you off every once in awhile. Learn to go with the flow of the waves rather than fighting them, all while finding solutions to your problems along the way. Stay strong!
