The Present is a Gift

Every moment in your life is an important piece of your own history in the making, so you want to make sure that you are present for every second of it. You don’t want to find yourself living in the past, or even the future, for that matter, but rather, you should be living in the present moment, no matter what that moment may be or what it looks like.

The present is the only time that you have when you really think about it in terms of life. The future is never guaranteed, and the past is merely gone; the present moment is all that you have in the grand scheme of things. Sure, you can think about your future, and you can regret the past, but neither of those things truly matter when you’re living in the moment.

You don’t need to spend your time worrying about the future or dwelling on the mistakes of the past; you can choose to simply exist in the time that you have been given. Choosing to be in the moment is something that can become so profound in your life, but you need to learn to appreciate the present for what it is rather than something you wish it could be.

Learning to live in the present can be a daunting task, especially in a society where we are so focused on the future and what the future holds for us. We must all face the reality that the future is something that we can hope for and cling to, but is ultimately something that may not be promised to us. The present moment is the only time that you have.

Living in and appreciating the present is one step that you can take towards living a happier, more positive life. When you can take the time to live in the present moment, you allow yourself to appreciate all of the things that are happening to you in the present, which is a form of gratitude, and gratitude is a building block towards living a happier life. You can do this!

Let Go of the Past and Embrace Change

Leave the past in the past! You won’t progress in life if you’re dragging old habits around with you. If you keep trying the same thing over and over again, and you’re not getting the results that you want, maybe it’s time to try something new. T hink of it like diet and exercise. Some diets won't work for you, just like some exercises work better for other people than they will for you. It’s all about figuring out what works, rather than doing the same old thing and becoming disappointed every time you don’t get results. In order to move forward in your life, you need to learn to embrace change. Sometimes, you can get so caught up in sticking with the things that you know, that you wind up afraid of venturing out of your comfort zone. It’s easy to stay with what’s familiar, but you have to learn to let go of familiarity and let yourself embrace the new and the unknown. You need to allow yourself to be open to new ideas and new ways of thinking. You're stuck where you are righ...

Don't Allow Your Fears To Control Your Life

Everyone has something that they are afraid of—you, me, everyone! It’s not shameful to have these fears, but you shouldn’t allow them to take precedent over your life. Things only have power over you because you give them that power. If your fears are starting to hold you back from living the life that you want, then you need to rethink how you view those fears and learn to break past them in order to move on. Your limitations are only limitations because you allow them to be. You are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for, so don’t allow yourself to be brought down by your fears just because you’re worried that you won’t be able to overcome them. You can do anything that you put your mind to, and if that involves overcoming your fears, then you will be able to do just that! When you choose to avoid your fears and not face them, you open yourself up to even more fear, as well as limitations on your abilities. Facing your fears allows you to break free of the restrict...

Happy Friday! Y'all know what time it is! It's that time of the week where we list the things that we look forward to; it's Fire It Up Friday! There is so much in life to look forward to, so let's help each other out by naming the things that we're excited for. I'll start us off by saying that I'm excited to go to the beach tomorrow.
