We can all strive to do our best every day, but what does that best look like? The truth is that your best is going to fluctuate; it’s going to change with every passing day. You could reach all of your goals one day, but then only achieve several the next, and that’s okay! No two days were meant to be the same, so if you don’t check off everything today, there’s always tomorrow.
Sometimes, you are going to have different energy levels day-to-day as well, so just because you did more than usual yesterday doesn’t mean that you’re going to have the energy to do that again today. Whatever you got done yesterday was your best, and whatever you get done today is going to be your best. Remember that you won’t always be able to get everything done every day. You’ll have good days, and you’ll have bad days, but what matters is that you try your best, despite your circumstances.
No matter what life throws at you, the way that you respond to it should always be with a positive mindset and a positive attitude. Always strive to do your best in any circumstance and to get done with what you can by using what you have at the moment. There will be things that arise that require your attention, but if you don’t have the resources to deal with them at the moment, then you should focus your attention on the things that you can achieve.
Doing your best means relying on the tools that you have around you in order to get your tasks done as efficiently as possible. When you don’t have the necessary tools or energy to complete something, then you should take a step back and observe what can be done with the tools at your disposal, rather than stressing yourself out over whether or not you can get the job done when you don’t have the proper equipment.
What matters is that you try your best every day and that you always remember that your best is going to look and feel different every day. Some days you will have tools that you did not have yesterday, but that doesn’t mean that you’ll have those tools again when tomorrow comes. Strive to do your best, but don’t overexert yourself to the point of exhaustion, or worse, just because you feel that you need to get everything done in one day. You have time, and you can do this!
