Good morning, and happy Tuesday, everyone! Today, I want to go over six simple tips that you can enact today to help you live a more positive life. Number one is pretty easy, and that's simply doing the things that you enjoy. Find hobbies that you love doing and spend time doing them! Not only will you feel happier, but you will also feel more productive after doing something that you enjoy.
Number two is limiting your time on social media. Did you know that in the United States, the average person spends about two hours and sixteen minutes on social media per day? That's a lot of unneeded screentime! Cutting down on the time that you spend on social media can have a positive impact on your overall mental and emotional health.
Number three is moving your body or working out. You don't need to run a marathon, but getting a quick five-minute workout every day is a lot better than simply doing nothing. Find a workout routine that you enjoy and that works for you, and stick to it!
Spending time with people that you love is number four. Having a positive social circle is very impactful on your wellbeing. Friends who support you and love you can help you feel happier, no matter what your circumstances. Setting aside some time to spend it with the people you love will always make you feel better.
Drinking plenty of water is number five. It might seem easy enough, but many people don't drink the adequate amount of water that they need in a day. You could go by the 8x8 rule and drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water per day, but in reality, the amount of water you should be drinking depends on your weight. It's a simple math problem: your weight x 0.5 = oz of water.
Number six is one that I think a lot of kids don't do these days, and that's getting outside as much as possible. Fresh air, sunshine, wind, and even rain can do wonders for your mood. Sure, no one likes a rainy day when you have plans, but there is a big difference between feeling the rain and merely getting wet. Sit outside when you can and feel the nature around you. You have nothing to lose by sitting outside and letting the world go for a bit.
